Hello and welcome to this week’s lesson. I’ve had a cold for the last few days and haven’t been able to put a harmonica in my mouth without feeling really gross. So, I thought it would be a good time to do a lesson on how to practice away from the instrument.
1) Listen to music (actively)
2) Visualise the instrument and imagine yourself playing it
3) Try transcribing music without touching the harmonica
Cognitively challenging
All of these practice techniques are challenging for your brain. This is because they are very powerful and should definitely form part of your regular practice routine.
