Blues harmonica lesson – Introduction to major pentatonic blues harmonica licks in 2nd position

Nov 23, 2016 | Intermediate Harmonica Lessons

Hello and welcome to this week’s harmonica lesson, where I will be introducing you to the major pentatonic scale. I will also be showing you some licks using it. This scale is a little different from the blues scale, which is based on the minor pentatonic scale. It can still be used to play some tasty blues though.

You will need a harmonica in the key of A, and we will be playing in 2nd position in the key of E major.
