Harmonica Lessons
Hello and welcome to my free lessons for Advanced Beginner players. Here is a brief description of what an Advanced Beginner player is able to do;
- Be able to play perfectly clean notes
- Play in time with a metronome and backing track with relatively simple rhythms
- Has tried bending and can probably bend the 4 draw bend pretty well and 3 draw 1/2 step bend sometimes
- Knows the 12 Bar Blues chord structure and can improvise basic ideas over it
- Knows what 1/4 notes, 1/8th notes and triplets are
- Plays gently and relaxed
* If you are unable to do all these things then I highly recommend checking out the Beginner section.

Recommended Gear
To start playing Blues Harmonica you will need a 10-hole diatonic harmonica in the key of C as most educational material is on a C harmonica. For Advanced Beginners, I recommend a Hohner Special 20. You might want to start experimenting with harmonicas in the keys of A and D.
