How to play a bluesy Jingle Bells on harmonica

Dec 2, 2015 | Intermediate Harmonica Lessons, Songs

Hello, this week’s harmonica lesson is the Christmas classic Jingle Bells but I have made a wee bit more bluesy!

You will need a harmonica in the key of C and I will be breaking it down lick by lick which you can listen to individually below.

Lick 1

We have a nice call and response style phrase. Really focus on hitting that 3 draw whole step bend nice and cleanly.

Lick 2

Watch out for the 2 draw half step bend!

Lick 3

Before you play lick 3, you will repeat lick 1.

Lick 4

This is is the first lick of the chorus.

Lick 5

Don’t forget to use your tongue to enunciate all those repeated notes.

Lick 6
