Hello and welcome to this week’s lesson, where I will be showing you how to play a fun static harmonica vamp with some simple chugging.

Thank youTom nice ,to get the timing right could you add a backing track to play along with.
Tomlin…..Sorry to hear that you were under the weather for a time. Hope you are much better now. Thanks for the super lesson this week. Great job!
Thank you for a fantastic lesson! Now I know what I’ll be playing next week. 🙂
Great lesson. If it’s in order to make a donation please let me know how. (Bends are beginning to come — at last!).
Hey Mr. Tomlin, will you please send me your mailing address. I’d like to send you something in appreciation of your terrific lessons. Truly enjoy them!
Cheers! Bé
Thanks for the lesson Tomlin, I need to do some serious work on the ‘bends’ tho!
Cheers.
Hello Tomlin. Your lesson came at the right moment because I was just practicing chugging, vamping and tripplets.
It made me so happy to be able to evaluate myself and after this personal evaluation I think I am an intermediate. It is a pleasure for me to practice the supervamp.
Thank you for the lesson.
Ionel.
I have taken both in person classes and internet classes watched innumerable Youtube videos and no one teaches as well as Tomlin which isn’t to disparage any of the others but his style is so patient and well explained it’s certainly admirable. I’m taking his beginners class although I think more of an intermediate player just to refresh or pick up things I might have missed
Thanks Ron! You are way too kind. I’m so glad that you enjoy the lessons 🙂
Hi Paul, I’m glad you like it. This is a solo harmonica style so you won’t need a backing track. For practice it might be worthwhile using a metronome to help with the timing. Best wishes, Tomlin
I’ll send you an email 😉
Tomlin,
Great lesson this week! Do you have a lesson or would you create one that shows how to convert the 1chord licks in the 12 bar blues to 4 chord licks for measures 5 and 6 to fit over the 4 chord. Another words, ideas how to manipulate I chord licks to 4chord licks to play thru the 12 bar blues.
Hi John, glad you enjoyed the lesson. I actually cover this topic in my Improvisation eCourse. You can find out more about it here – https://tomlinharmonicaschool.com/p/introduction-to-improvisation-ecourse. Let me know if you have any questions about it. Best wishes, Tomlin
